After Google+ was launched in June 2011, businesses, marketing firms and average Joe's have all formed opinions on the social networking and identity site. Google+ (or G+) is a little over a year old old and boasts about 400 million users. Google is using the social network as a way to identify people and businesses with an online presence. As a company, Google defines its Google+ project as both a social network and a identity site. Identifying yourself on Google+ helps Google provide more relevant and refined search results thus injecting social aspects into the search engine paradigm. This new paradigm depends less on it's 8.6 billion indexed pages and more on what the Google assumes the user wants to find based on their social circles and interests. Social searches narrow the Internet down to what people have given their attention to and this helps Google put the most interesting, topical, and timely pages at the top of their results.

If your website is one of your marketing tools, it is important to be sure it is doing everything it can do generate leads. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you are getting 10 or 100 visitors to your website each day if no one is calling or emailing you for more information.  There are several ways to convert your website visitors; here are three simple tactics I see many people forgetting to do.  They deal with providing relevant information as quickly as possible to your visitors.

1.) Make sure your phone number is in the text of every page. With the number of people who search the internet with their phones, it is crucial to not only have your phone number large in the header (preferably top left) - you need to make sure it is in the content of your website pages too.  More often than not, someone will search for a service or product on their phone and want to call. Because the majority of people today have "smart phones," any phone number in text will be a hot link to make their phone call directly.  If the phone number is an image in the header, it would require someone to memorize your phone number and go to the keypad part of their phone and call.
